Riva Thapa

Riva is a high-performing solicitor within the Firm’s commercial and civil litigation practice, where she works closely with our Principal and Special Counsel in the conduct of complex disputes.

Riva brings several years of litigation experience developed through her work as an undergraduate lawyer, with substantial exposure to the preparation and conduct of civil proceedings, which has included urgent interlocutory applications, multi-day hearings, and informal settlement conferences, under the direct supervision of our Principal. She also works closely with barristers in complex and high-profile litigation. That focused and invaluable experience informs her analytical approach to litigation today, and her relentless commitment to achieving favourable outcomes for clients.

Riva acts in all stages of proceedings, with particular involvement in litigation before the Supreme Court of New South Wales, the Court of Appeal of New South Wales, the District Court of New South Wales and the Local Court of New South Wales. She has worked across a wide range of civil disputes, acting for Plaintiffs, Defendants, Appellants, Respondents and other interested parties.

Riva is a solicitor admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Technology Sydney.
